When I was growing up my grandpa always wanted me to play golf and bought me my first club when I was about 5 years old. But I did not have that much of an interest in it and decided to take up completive archery and club volleyball instead. I played volleyball until I was thirteen when my dad talked me into going out and playing a few golf rounds with him. This is when my love for sport started to grow, and I tried out of the liberty high school golf team.
After playing my freshman year season, I decided I wanted to take golf seriously and it was something I wanted to do full time. So, I signed up for my first JGAA tournament. This did not go as well as I expected, and I got pretty discouraged but decided to find a swing couch and focus on cutting down stroke's my sophomore year.
My sophomore year started off pretty rocky, but my team won our district tournament, and I placed fourth out of the district. Then we went to state and as a team we placed 8th and I tied for 35th. This definitely did not go as planned but I had lots of fun for it being my first time playing in a state championship. Now that the season is over, I have already started practicing. I am very excited for the torments this off season and can't wait until next fall for my junior season!!
My junior year had a great season! My team won our district championship, and I tied for 4th place with one of my teammates shooting a (84). State definitely did not go how I planned I shot a (86) the first day and a (88) the second day. My team placed 5th overall and I placed 40th individually! I finished the season with 6.608 Handicap in Iwannamaker and 69th individually in the state out of 781 girls.
